I wear jewelry because it makes me feel present. I hear the *clink* of my ring against the table or the faint *ding* from my necklace pendant sliding down the chain. I make jewelry for myself and for the pure enjoyment I get from making it and wearing it.
Chocolate and Steel begins here ~ A collection of jewelry for everyone to. My jewelry is always handmade from the finest quality materials. The collection includes fine silver pendant necklaces, rings, and bracelets. Custom designs and Wholesale orders are welcomed.
I specialize in fine silver jewelry that has been handcrafted out of PMC (precious metal clay). This is a new fangled crazy invention by Mitsubishi. What they have done is taken pure silver and ground it down to fine particles in the same way film negatives are made. These fine silver particles are mixed with an organic binder to create the malleability of clay. This is the stage in which I come in. I create something wonder for you. When the clay dries I sand and refine the piece. The finished piece is fired in a kiln at 1650 degrees F (hot!). During this firing process the organic binder burns away completely and the end result is a solid piece of silver. MAGIC – wha-la! The final piece is polished, oxidized, brushed, and so on and so forth.
With metal clay I am able to translate my organic inspirations onto an industrial material. Now, an independent designer living in Los Angeles, I wake to discover new inspirations everyday. I will be forever grateful for this opportunity to do what I love. I have many hobby-like activities, but creating jewelry is my passion.
