Claudine Feel like a witch !!! how appropriate ....

I've been dyeing yarn non-stop for the last few weeks - my place (and me) looks like a mess, but I love the results. I paint all my skeins individually with a paintbrush and do it with a passion. Will have some new beautiful handpainted yarns soon - but there is already quite a lot in my Dawanda shop. I'm constantly experimenting with different yarns and techniques and don't seem to find enough hours in the day... My new inspiration is coming from the impressionist painters and I'm working on a… Continue

MysteriousCats Pierre, the Penguin Adventurer!

May is here and I think it will be a great month! Sunshine is outside, my jumpers are being stored, programming some holidays and Indiana Jones is back! I really love the films! Just watched all the three previous ones, getting ready for the coming back :) Really can't wait... I hope it will be just like the old ones. MysteriousCats Literary walk and wire crochet!

The weather was so lovely yesterday! Sunny and warm finally! So we decided to go for a walk, a literary route related to Jane Austen. I just love her novels! It was great!

MysteriousCats The Black Dahlia Clutch Bag

What can I say? I really love the way this bag turned out! :) Crochet bags usually have a problem that they don't keep the shape, I mean, if you want something a bit more structured. For this bag, I used interfacing in the lining and due to its size (relatively small), I think I managed to get the result I want. The flower detail has some beading and as it is a pin, you can change it when you feel like it. It closes with 2 magnetic snaps and the yarn is a cotton acrylic mix.… Continue

MysteriousCats Working on my yellow alpaca scarf

I've been working on this scarf since last week. It's for me so I am a bit slow in finishing it... It's the first time I use alpaca yarn and before blocking the squares it looks quite scruffy but I am pleased with the results so far. Seems I still need some 4 squares to go! Hope I''ll be finishing this week and then I can finally wear it :)
