My first sale on DaWanda!

I am so happy! I made my first real sale on DaWanda last Friday and the best part of it is that the customer loves the earrings! :) Here they are:

It was really my "salvation" as I was prepared to give up my shop. I got an order which it was supposedly to be my first sale 9 day… Continue

Pierre, the Penguin Adventurer!

May is here and I think it will be a great month! Sunshine is outside, my jumpers are being stored, programming some holidays and Indiana Jones is back! I really love the films! Just watched all the three previous ones, getting ready for the coming back :) Really can't wait... I hope it will be just like the old ones. It's so sad that there are not such fun films like that anymore. So here it is my little, indeed little only 12cm, homage to my favorite archaeologist. Please meet, Pierre Jones… Continue

Literary walk and wire crochet!

The weather was so lovely yesterday! Sunny and warm finally! So we decided to go for a walk, a literary route related to Jane Austen. I just love her novels! We started in Chawton, where Jane Austen spent her last 8 years, then trough some fields and woodland till Farringdon, a very lovely small village with very charming old cottages and then back, using a disused railway line. It was great!

The Black Dahlia Clutch Bag

What can I say? I really love the way this bag turned out! :) Crochet bags usually have a problem that they don't keep the shape, I mean, if you want something a bit more structured. For this bag, I used interfacing in the lining and due to its size (relatively small), I think I managed to get the result I want. The flower detail has some beading and as it is a pin, you can change it when you feel like it. It closes with 2 magnetic snaps and the yarn is a cotton acrylic mix.… Continue

Good Luck Fish Earrings

That's my second jewelry addition to my shop! Green Agate hand carved fish bead, copper wire and hook and red bulge beads. I love the red with green combination! Just like tomatoes and basil! Just some facts about goldfishes and symbology: This symbol means abundance of gold, making the Goldfish a popular symbol in the Chinese culture. One of the most popular New Year's images is a child holding a large goldfish and a lotus flower which brings bo… Continue

Working on my yellow alpaca scarf

I've been working on this scarf since last week. It's for me so I am a bit slow in finishing it... It's the first time I use alpaca yarn and before blocking the squares it looks quite scruffy but I am pleased with the results so far. Seems I still need some 4 squares to go! Hope I''ll be finishing this week and then I can finally wear it :)

Goldfish Earrings! :)

And here they are! Just want a simple look to them. First, because I don't have the knowledge and the skills for something more sophisticated and also because I think the goldfish is detailed enough. What do you think? Actually, I am very pleased with them and already thinking on different takes on them for my shop.

My first post!

Thought I would give it a try in jewelry making! I saw some beautiful beads and thought they would look great as earrings so I got them.

Next step was to get some other beads to go with. Just plainly the fishes wouldn't do it for me so I got some turquoise beads as well. I love… Continue
