About me
My name is Mariana. I am Argentinean although now I am living -6yrs now- in The Netherlands.
I have never been formally trained in art. However, I have been involved in one way or another with it since an early time in my life. I think I was in primary school when I started attending artsy workshops for children.
For a long time it was just a hobby, something done after the obligations -study- was done. Now I have come to the realization that this is what I want to do with my life: create with my hands.
I work with a variety of materials: clay, wool, paper, paint, beads... Wool felting (hand or wet felting) is my medium. I make boxes, jewerly, wallhangings, bowls, shalls, bags, purses.... so many things can be done with wool! Such a versatile material.
I am a very curious person and I like researching new stuff and diving into it, trying it out, learning and then combining it with other things and techniques. So there are always new things in the works!
This is more than a hobby, creating is a way of life...my way of living life.
