DaWanda Shopping Community

A Community for Sellers to show off their products to Buyers!

My mum was crafting things as long as I can think. I grew up wearing pullovers that she had knitted herself; I remember her and my dad making belts and belt-buckles; they both did a lot of pottery and my mum even gave courses for that. My whole family has always been extremely creative, except for me for long time (until last autumn, to be honest - that was when I started sewing). My dad and my sister also drawed and painted a lot. All kinds of stuff. The probably most "creative" things I did was building my own PCs...^^

Anyway - my mum of course still crafts, her best loved hobbies at the moment are jewelery making with all different kinds of beads, stitching and also sewing. When she heard about DaWanda, she was eager to also have a shop there, but as she has no clue about the internet, it was (as always) me who had to take care about that. As we are living quite far from each other (in fact in different countries), I had to explain my parents what is important to take care of when taking the pictures for the shop, get all necessary information (size? material? price?...) and then set up her shop at DaWanda. Luckily, my dad can help her caring about that, so I even stopped checking her shop daily on something that needs to be taken care of.

She even also had her first sale by now and was of course absolutely happy about that! It is a bit more quiet now in her shop, but she still hopes and thinks that more sales will surely come. She offers some really nice huge shopping bags (perfect for women, I'd say) and grain "pillows" shaped like ducks. Those are really cute! Also she has some very nice and clever scarfs.

Here are three examples of her items:

One of the scarfs (actually, they are made of three layers of fabrics that match in colour and substance; each layer can be pulled to the front to match different outfits, of course you can also wear it showing all three different layers):

So if you out there have some free time, I would be happy if you would pay my mums shop a little visit and perhaps even leave her a comment, she would be soooo happy! (Don't mind if you don't speak German, my dad understands a lot, and if not - well, I would be asked to translate it anyway ;) )! You can find her shop at http://de.dawanda.com/shop/MonikaSchmitz

The crafting gene is really in your family! That's great! :)

Ah, thanks for the link! :)

And of course also thanks for the invitation here - but she won't do that, as I said, she has no clue of the internet and would just be overstrained. My dad has a bit knowledge about how to use it, but the most "interactive" thing he does except writing emails is using this well known internet auction house.
